Wise Guys is an American animated television series created by Tyler Chart for Cartoon Network. The show is about the adventures of two boys—Zackery (voiced by Daryl Sabara)—and Jakelsm (voiced by David Kaufman)—while they live in the world of Pickupath, where they meet anthropomorphic people and things. The show first started as an pilot, pitched to Nickelodeon in 2008, but Nick declined, and one year later, Cartoon Network picked up the series, and aired the show's first episode "Mission City Combo" on June 4, 2010.

By the end of 2007, Tyler Chart, creator of the series, thought that the show's style should be like other cartoons from the past decade, kinda like SpongeBob SquarePants and The Powerpuff Girls, some comedy, and most action. and some new concepts as well. earlier, Zackery and Jakelsm were originally called Zacken and Drake. in early 2008, Zacken was changed to Zackery, and Drake was changed to Jakelsm for unknown reasons. in May of 2008, Chart first pitched the show as a original series on Nicktoons Network. and later pitched to the main Nickelodeon channel. In 2009, Nickelodeon declined the series and was later moved to Cartoon Network. as a preview on May 1, 2010, and officially premiered on June 4, 2010.

For seasons 1 to the first three episodes of season 3, Rough Draft Studios animated the show's design. but for later season 3 - present, it is animated with Toon Boom Harmony.
Music[]
James L. Venable, a composer best known for his work on shows such as The Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, composed additional music for the series.
Writing[]
For seasons 1-2, writing an episode takes only 20 days to complete, but for seasons 3-present, episodes takes three months to complete.
